JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Allies Healthy Families Supervisor is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the home visiting program in partnership with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) and Allies Together Program Manager. ATS will participate in trainings to support the implementation of evidence based and evidence informed home visiting practices for parents with young children with an emphasis on the needs of pregnant and parenting youth. Provides clinical, reflective and administrative supervision to home visiting staff. Ensures agency and client compliance with program regulations and Healthy Families America Home Visiting Model and general operations as needed.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on supervision of the home visiting program, and is involved in planning, staffing, training, quality assurance, and evaluation
  • Provides individual and group supervision to the Home Visitors. Weekly supervision incorporates administrative, clinical and reflective practices
  • Assures quality of service provision by direct service staff and monitoring for contract compliance and model adherence
  • Protects the integrity of the program and demonstrates respect for the parallel process by supporting, guiding, and building on the strengths of staff so that they may best support, guide, and build on the strengths of the families served
  • Keep files organized and up to date in accordance with program requirements and accreditation guidelines and policies
  • Supports with data entry and tracking in partnership with agency evaluation staff
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality and HIPPA compliance and adherence to COA standards
  • Evening and weekend hours are required
  • Participate in family engagement and outreach events
  • Staff must believe in and act in accordance with both the Agency’s and the program’s mission
  • In accordance with our “team” philosophy, the person filling this position may occasionally be required to carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed in this job description.
  • Master’s degree in mental health, public health or human services administration or fields related to working with children and families
  • A solid understanding of and experience in managing diverse staff with humility
  • Administrative experience in human services or related field, including experience in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement
  • Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment
  • Experience with family services that embraces the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
  • Knowledge of parent-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
  • Experience in supporting culturally diverse communities/families and transition age youth
  • Experience in home visiting with a strong background in early childhood prevention and promotion services
  • Willingness to engage in building reflective practice capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.)
  • Infant mental health endorsement preferred
  • Experience with reflective practice preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and follow through
  • Comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records Systems

  • Fingerprint background clearance (DOJ, FBI & Child Abuse Clearance Index), or approved exemption
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and PPD test/ risk assessment, proof of Covid-19 vaccination and immunizations for pertussis (Tdap), measles (MMR) and influenza (can decline)
  • Class “C” driver’s license, proof of insurance, a safety record acceptable to CAA, and reliable transportation required

Annual Pay Range: $68,640 – $78,000 (In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.)
