Adriana has spent her career working with at-risk children and families coping with everything from living with HIV/AIDS, extreme poverty, domestic violence, gang culture, and child abuse and neglect.
Her focus in recent years has been to educate the community and stakeholders about early childhood mental health and strengthening systems of care for children 0-5 and their families. Adriana is a CA-CIFECMH Endorsed Infant-Family & Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist & Reflective Practice Facilitator II, and licensed marriage and family therapist. She is also a trainer in trauma responsive care practices, and has been described as, “a clinician by training, a social worker by trade and a community advocate in practice.”
